Where does the money go?
When your guest contributes money towards your predetermined gift or fund, we charge their credit card, and the money is deposited into Birthdayfund.com Holding Account at our bank. The funds remains in our Holding Account until the closing of the special event. At that time Birthdayfund.com will either transfer the total amount to your paypal account which is provided by the host or we will issue a check for the full amount within 30 days after the closing of a registry.
Is it safe to pay with a credit card?
It is completely safe to use a credit card to provide a gift on Birthdayfund.com. We use a SSL encrypted server for all transactions and our system is checked daily for viruses by Thwarte.
What happens to our personal information?

What are the fees to set up a registry at Birthdayfund.com?
It is completely FREE to create, view and send invitations regarding a gift registry.
Are there fees for my guests when they contribute funds to my registry?
It is completely free for guests to view your registry, however to cover the costs involved including hosting, sending emails, credit card processing etc. Birthdayfund.com assesses a modest handling fee to complete all Gift Fund transactions. Birthdayfund.com will charge a handling fee of $5 for transactions under $40 and for gift amounts over $41 there is a 12% flat fee, which is calculated by taking 12% of the total amount of the gift. We at Birthdayfund.com feel that this is a small fee considering the hassle of having to go find a gift, gas money, ATM fees, parking fees and time. The reason why we have the guest pay for the transaction fee is the host will receive the entire gift amount.

How do I create a registry?
The process is incredibly simple! Just click the "Create Registry" button and then fill out the information of your party or event.
Step 1. Decide on Registry
The first step in setting up a gift registry is to figure out the type of registry you are planning on setting up ie. College Fund, Honeymoon Fund, Car Fund, House Fund, destination or see suggested Gift Registries. Once you figure out what type of registry you plan on setting up move on to step two.
Step 2. Create your Registry
Once you select the registry that is right for you, you will then fill out our quick online information form. Here you will enter your information about the party or event
Step 3. Invite you Guests
Now it is time to invite all of your friends and family. This is a simple process, enter your friends and families email addresses. Once you have a complete list just hit "send"!
How do I tell my friends and family that I have a registry at Birthdayfund.com?
Birthdayfund.com has made it easy to get the word out about you gift registry
Email your guests
When you create a gift registry you will be given the opportunity manually enter email addresses. When you send out the email invitation, it is also an opportunity to invite the guests to view your registry.
Can I resend an invitation to people that I forgot?
Yes you can always resend your invitation to anyone. To do this all you will need to do is "Login". Once you login to you account you can view who you have already sent emails to and you can send or resend any message you wish.
How do I withdraw the funds?
You will receive payment within 30 days of the close of your registry. Note: all registries close within 7 days of scheduled event. Birthdayfund.com will either send you a check for the total amount of the gift registry or we will send the funds to your PayPal account which was set up when you created your registry.
How will I know who provided me the gifts?
When someone contributes money to your registry, we immediately send an e-mail confirmation to both you and the gift giver. Another way to see who has contributed to to you registry is to simple "Login" to you account and view details. In this section you can find a detailed list of everyone who has contributed to you registry and the amounts of their contribution. Often times a gust will wish to remain anonymous, if this is the case you will still receive an email letting you know someone has contributed to your registry, however your will not be able to see the persons name or email address.
How do I contribute to a registry?
The process is incredibly simple! Either click or type in the link that was provided to you in your invitation or if you do not know the link you can search for a registry by entering the name of the person who invited you. If you don't know any of that information you can select the state where the person who set up the gift registry is located and you will see a list of all registries in that state.
1. Once you have a "registry link " from the host of the event, you can view the registry
2. Once you find a registry you can enter the amount you wish to contribute, then enter your credit card information.
Are the restrictions on the amount of money I can donate?
At Birthdayfund.com we provide gift givers and receivers an enormous amount of freedom, it is really up to you regarding how much you wish to contribute towards a gift registry, however there is a $10 minimum. There are no limitations on the number of transactions a guest can make.
How does the recipient of a gift know who the gift came from?
When you contribute money to registry, we immediately send an e-mail confirmation to both you and the host of the event. The host email will let them know the name, email address and the amount of the gift. Another way is for the host to Login to their account to view all transactions
Will other people be able to see the amount I contributed ?
We at Birthdayfund.com feel that that kind of information is private. At no time will another guest be able to view your contribution. Only the host will have access to view a detailed list of the contributions.
How do I know that the money I give will go towards the fund or gift?
We understand that this is a concern for people, the last thing you want to do is donate towards a child's college fund and find out that the money was used to buy dad some new shoes. Although we hope the money generated in a fund goes to the intended fund, unfortunately since none of us at Birthdayfund.com can monitor what the money is actually spent on we can offer no guarantee that the money generated in a gift fund will be used towards intended gift.
